Marina Lee  Sedai

Marina L. Sedai is the owner of Sedai Law Office.   Ms. Sedai obtained a B.A. (major:  Political Science/International Relations; minor:  Psychology) from Simon Fraser University, and a law degree (focus international law) in 2002 from the University of British Columbia.  Since articling in corporate/commercial law and civil litigation, she has been practising exclusively immigration law, advising corporations hiring foreign workers, and individuals, couples (including LGBT), and families seeking temporary or permanent residence. She has appeared before the Provincial and Supreme Courts, and the Immigration Appeal Division. Ms. Sedai is on the executive of the BC Canadian Bar Association Immigration Section as Secretary in 2007-2008, Overseas Lawyers Group Vice-Chair 2008-2009, Vice-Chair 2009-2011, and Co-Chair of the Service Canada Subcommittee.   Ms. Sedai also speaks at continuing legal education events for the legal community and public.

In client relations, Ms. Sedai strongly encourages frequent contact via email, telephone, fax, and Skype (ID:  marina.lee.sedai), and in person appointments.  No question is too small or too frequent; and despite an extremely busy practise, she endeavours to return ninety percent of messages within two working days (note Canadian holidays).  And, as a final note, she always welcomes a good measure of professional humour.
