• B.A. (major:  Political Science/International Relations; minor:  Psychology) in 1998 from Simon Fraser University.
• Law degree (focus international law) in 2002 from the University of British Columbia.

• Articled in corporate/commercial law and civil litigation in 2004-2005.
• Practising exclusively immigration and citizenship law since 2005.
